APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT PREMISES (ALCOHOL) LICENCE: THE BARN, LOVERSALL FARM.   PARISH COUNCIL RESPONSE

The (three page) response below reflects the decisions taken at the Parish Council meeting on July 4th 2018, which was to object to the application. When the licencing authority was contacted they seemed to be under the impression that The Barn was in some remote location. The representation shows the location of the “Premises” within the village and the context of earlier planning applications. Any representation/objection must address at least one of the Licencing objectives of :

  1. Prevention of crime and disorder.
  2. Public safety.
  3. Prevention of public nuisance.
  4. Protection of children from harm.

 Doncaster Council Local Plan

Following discussions with DMBC officials and Councillors and the neighbouring parishes of Tickhill and Wadworth, the Parish Council held a public meeting to consult local residents on the implications of the Local Plan for Loversall.  A written response was subsequently made by the Parish Council as part of the DMBC consultation exercise. Individual residents were also encouraged to respond in their own right, which we know some did. The Parish Council response can be found in the link below. The Parish council has since met with the responsible DMBC planning officer but,  to date,  no further information about DMBC decisions on the Local Plan have been notified.
