Vacancy for post of Parish Clerk

The vacancy has arisen following the retirement of Lindsay Wilson who has served the Council for six years. The Council by law must employ a person to act as the “Proper Officer” / “Responsible Finance Officer” . Because the Parish Council is very small we do not have the resources to employ a Clerk on anything but a very part time basis but the role is an extremely important one, ensuring that Council business is conducted legally, following national guidance and ensuring adherence with the Councillor Code of Conduct.  The Clerk is also responsible for following up actions decided by the Council and responding on the Council’s behalf to consultations by third parties. Experience in administration/finance and IT literacy is essential.
