We all want the lockdown to end but we are arguably entering the most dangerous phase of the epidemic outside London. At the end of March there were 49 known cases of Covid 19 in Doncaster. Even with the majority of us staying at home and respecting social distancing, this has risen to a total of 629 reported cases (16th May). It is easy to imagine with a loosening of the restrictions and us all growing weary of lockdown, how rapidly this could escalate unless we stick to the rules. If it escalates, more Doncaster people could die and we will be back to square one.
We’ve done well in Doncaster so far, compared to some other parts of the North, so lets all stick with it, for all our sakes.
