As we all know, since the relaxation of the Government restrictions, rates of infection have soared across the country. : Doncaster is no exception. Our rate has increased from a low of 3.2 per 100,000 population at the beginning of September to 29.0 per 100,000 now. The number of people being treated with coronavirus in Doncaster Royal Infirmary has started to rise again and sadly there have seen two deaths in the last week.
With the lifting of the lockdown and the knowledge now that 40% of people who have Covid 19 show no symptoms, we need to be more aware of the danger than ever. We need to stay our distance – the closer we are the greater risk, wash our hands regularly and wear a mask in a public space particularly indoors eg shops. By wearing a mask you not only give yourself some extra protection but you show you care about others who might get an infection from you.
